So. I started training for this wacky world of voice over more than a year ago, thanks to the inspiration of Raven Magill and Omen O. Sade, who proved to me that it's okay to reach for those dreams, no matter how scary they may be.
Then, I started training with Jay Snyder and Carol Monda, two invaluable and incomparable resources, who taught me everything I know, and will most assuredly continue to impart their vast supply of knowledge into my little coconut.
And, in May of 2016, due to an unexpected job rearrangement, I was thrust headlong into the actual job side of VO. And I'll never regret it. Since I started, I've been working on an audiobook ever since, with one project right after the other.
And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing Johnny Heller, and his Splendiferous Relaxathon this past Halloween. I met some ridiculous talent and inspirational people there as well. To name just a few: Colby Elliott, Steven Jay Cohen, Peter Berkrot, Pam Lorence, Patty Gibbons, Cat Lookabaugh, Bill Lord, George Kuch.
A special thanks to Bob Williams, Marc Secchia, and Dyrk Ashton for giving me the opportunities to voice their fantastic writing.
The year ahead presents many challenges, and I have many goals that I hope to achieve, but I know that it's going to be a good one, for all of us.
Here's to a healthy, happy, safe, and prosperous new year for all.
